Waking up around 7 to eat breakfast and then to catch a taxi to the bus station for a weekend away from Suva. We heard from other volunteers that Uprising and The Beach House where nice places to go for the weekend. For the first weekend I decided to go to Uprising with some other volunteers. We did not have nice weather it was cloudy and rain for most of the day but we all made the best of it. Dinner at Uprising was really good, and the drink where very expansive.

Saturday  November 27, 2015 & Sunday November 28, 2015 :

Left Friday after placement to go for a weekend trip to The Beach House. The bus took about two and half hours to get to the Beach House. Once I reached the the hotel I had to walk down the road until I could find the reception office to check in. After getting checked in I meet some people from the America, Germany, France, Taiwan and some Aussies. Friday night I just did my own thing because I was tried. Saturday morning I got up and had breakfast with some of these new people that I meets. After we had finish some of them where talking about going into town to Sigatoka, so I went along for something to do. But before we went to Sigatoka we went to an Eco Park thats about 30 min out side of Sigatoka. The Eco park was nice if you had brought your lunch for the day. They had a lot of different type of animals like Iguanas, Birds, Turtles and Snakes.  In Sigatoka we went to a flee mark to try to find thing that some of the group needed. When the shopping was all done we then headed over to this bar looking over the water for a drink before we headed back to the hotel. Some of the group also talk about trying to surf before going to Sigatoka. Once we got back I was ready for some surfing I did the class because it was cheap but “ What I wanted to learn about is how to surf over a reef”. As time went it was becoming dusk before we headed out to surf. We where supposed to get two hour so least about hour and half in the water we were in the water for maybe 45 min to an hour I was a little disappointed in that but other then that it was a great day. Sunday got up had breakfast and checked out. I was going to be leaving sometime after lunch to catch a bus or mini bus back to Suva but because I had a great time extended for one more night. After realizing that I was going to stay, I joined the group of friends that I had made a we went reef snorkeling with sharks. After the snorkeling was over we headed to a village to see how the village was ran. It was a great time we all sat in a circle on the floor had lemon tea and tennis balls. The lemon tea was a leaf that they grew and we had to tear it to make slight in it so when the hot water was in it the tea would taste like lemon. Now when I am talking about tennis balls it not  tennis ball its a doughy some what like a donut. We got back to the hotel and had some dinner and me and the girls talk about what time we should leave on Monday to get back to Suva.  We said we should catch the bus at 530 but that did not happened we all slept in. So we woke up had breakfast and then got the bus around 8 so we could least be in Suva around Lunch time Monday.
